Family Night Volunteer:

  • Volunteer at our Family Nights. As a volunteer you can secure donations, decorate, assist families with their project and greet guests

  • Chair or be a part of the committee to plan monthly activities for Family Nights

  • Help provide refreshments for Family Nights

  • This is usually held on a Friday evening


Fundraising/Events Volunteer:

  • Assist in set up, registration, silent auctions and other areas of fundraising events

  • Chair or be a part of the committee to plan fundraising events

  • Help promote our events within your network and on Social Media


Community Outreach Volunteer:

  • Staff booths at events and health fairs

  • Become a community speaker and represent The Center for Compassionate Care at various speaking engagements

Volunteer Opportunities


Grief Facilitator:

  • Co-facilitate a children, teen, or adult group

  • As a volunteer facilitator you will encourage the expression of grief through grief related activities, grief-appropriate play, arts and crafts, and through one on one interaction in a group format

  • A 16-hour training program is required in order to work directly with our group members. There will be an application process that includes a background check and TB test. Not everyone who receives the training will be placed in a group

  • A nine- twelve month commitment is required for one day every other week time slot, totaling six hours a month. A calendar can be provided

  • Volunteer at the Center:

  • Help is needed Monday through Friday

  • Typing, filing and mail-outs

  • Volunteer record keeping and computer entry

  • Support in answering the phones and making reminder phone calls

  • Group preparations

  • Prep for events or trainings

  • Other duties that fit within ones skill set

  • Flexible in hours, days and times
